I can't believe summer is coming to an end. Time is passing by so fast these days. This summer has been a very busy one for Maureen and I. We have no plans to slow down any time soon.
The 60 project has been on hold for the last couple of months, but I have plans to restart soon! I just received two new quarter sections from Classic Industries that's been back ordered for four months. This will be the last major rust area to replace along with some small patches. I have a long way to go, one rust hole at a time.
On August 14th, we opened up our home for a Southern style barbeque and planned to hold our meeting during that time. Maureen wanted to have a little seminar on the 60 as well with a lesson on hand sanding by a professional body repair man. He is my mentor who I am still learning things from. Unfortunately, that day didn't happen due to a low club member response.
The pandemic has changed our lives. For the past 16 months our club board has struggled to stay together through the newsletter, Zoom calls and only a couple in person events. Going forward I am hoping to see more faces this fall, for we will be back in the Bordentown Community Center for our September 12th meeting. Maureen and I will have special refreshments in celebration of being back together once again!
There are two items that the board will be looking into.
1.) To lessen the snail mail of the newsletter.
2.) Making a change for the members due dates.
We will have more discussion on
these items in the next couple of
months. So please try to attend
these meetings, this is your club and
your input is important to us!
