President’s Message

I didn’t make it to our July meeting/event at Brian Bernotas’ garage. I got stuck overnight in Pennsylvania Station in NYC and only had about one hour sleep by the time I got home. The last time that happened was coming home from a Grateful Dead concert in 1973. Fortunately, Leigh and Maureen Humphreys, our Vice President and Secretary were able to put their home projects on hold and were able to attend and ran the meeting. Thank you Al and Brian for hosting the event and thank you to John Dennery and the Humphreys for taking the photos.

Our next event is a picnic at the Dennery’s on Saturday August 10 with the following Sunday as a rain date. Please call Dawn to let her know you’re coming. This has always been one of the best events on our calendar.

Check out the “Wacha Workin On” feature and see what Verne Frantz has been up to.

Our past President, Frank Visco to a terrible fall and is now recovering. Best wishes for a speedy recovery Frank.

The National Impala Association Convention is coming up quick. It will be in St. Charles, IL August 13 – 18.
I see on Facebook that Don Bock has a new ride, a 1968 Impala 427!

The September meeting/event will be something new and different. On Sunday the 8 th, we will be visiting the Morris Canal for an interesting historical tour. This is up in the Northwest corner of the state. We will be doing a bit of cruising the scenic byways and stop for a meal. See the USA in your chevrolet.
