Month of May is the kick off with Memorial Day weekend beginning of the summer fun and cruising in our classic Chevrolets. The weather is finally cooperating; it feels so good to have the SUNSHINE upon us. April was a very cool month, some days we needed to have the heat on. I am glad it’s finally changing. What I do not like is the changing GAS prices.
Just in time for cruising, up go the gas prices. Well I guess we cannot have it all, good sunshine and low gas prices. Speaking of May, our club picnic/meeting is on May 30, 2015. If you are planning to attend, please call Karen and Jim Thackeray, 215-595- 8780 if you have not already done so. Karen and Jim are chair persons and they need to know if you are coming and what food you will be bringing to plan a successful picnic. Of course the picnic is held at Core Creek Park in Middletown Township, Pa. Which has a host of amenities for all ages to enjoy? It is always a wonderful day in the fresh air plus the camaraderie of our members.
Pavilion number 11, starting at 8 am with lunch at noon. See directions and more information in the body of this newsletter. Hope to see you all there.
Some of us went to the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles in Pa on April 11, 2015 for “DINER DAY”. It was a very nice experience, especially the pie and coffee for 30 cents, 1938 prices. Thank you Mike Berry for bringing this event to our clubs attention.
June 6, 2015 @ 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM we will be doing our annual Burlington Chevrolet Car Display. Rain date is June 20, 2015. We need a good turnout try your best to be there.
Another club event during the summer month will take place on June 13. 2015. Our cruise to Point Pleasant Museum and Circus Drive in Restaurant. Everyone will meet at 11:30 AM at the restaurant, have lunch and cruise to the museum. Rain date is June 14, 2015, Directions and more information is in the body of this newsletter. This is a real nice cruising day. Should be lots of fun.Reminders:

One more piece of information, the club officers had a Board Meeting on April 26, 2015 at Verne Frantz’s house. Many issues were discussed which I will share with our members at our Picnic/Meeting on May 30, 2015. The board needs some feedback from all of you on a couple of issues before going forward. This May 30 meeting will be the last meeting until September 2015. No meetings are held in the summer months of June, July and August. So make sure you watch the newsletter for scheduled club events.
