Greetings, hope all are in good spirits as a result of this beautiful weather we have been experiencing. Cruising time has arrived; I trust your car is ready to go. It's time to fill up with a tank full of petrol and hit the pavement for some enjoyable countryside touring. Shifting gears and getting back to the club, at our April meeting we had a banner turn out; it was very encouraging to have so many members involved in the Convention planning. More volunteers came forward, which is precisely what we need to make this event the best NIA convention yet. A BIG thank you to all who attended and have volunteered their support, we appreciate it. Mike Berry was bringing us up to speed on where we currently stand and what more we need to accomplish. Thank you Mike and all the Chairpersons for your concerted effort in the planning and execution of this event. Please be advised that both June and July’s Club meetings will be held at the Mt Laurel Wyndham Hotel, site of this year’s 012 NIA Convention.
The month of May is just around the corner, and so is our annual club picnic! Please contact Gerry Thackeray and arrange with her what covered dish you would like to bring. The cut off for this sign up is May 7th, so please don’t’ hesitate and call now. Three other clubs are invited-the Jersey Cruising Classics, the Spirit of 53 Corvette Club and the NJACE Corvair Club. This event is really shaping up, so don’t be left out. Please bring your Chevys out to this event for two reasons-to show your colors and let everyone else enjoy your car. We should have a Horseshoe competition and some other fun experiences including the Barbeque and table food. Make your plans now, the date is May12th, please see other information related to this event elsewhere in this edition.
A special plea goes out to club members to contact Frank Visco and provide him input for his What you Working On articles. It’s always interesting to find out what other folks have been doing regarding our hobby related activities. Consider sending some pictures along as they certainly enhance and help illustrate your story.
