Hope you all have taken the opportunity to bring your Chevy’s out of
mothballs, cleaned it up and slid behind the wheel for a relaxing cruise enjoying
the sights and warmer weather of spring. We have some fun events coming up-The
May Picnic, June Drive-In Cruise and summer fun Picnics at the Dennery’s and
the Humphries that you won’t want to miss.
The 012 NIA Convention Committee has been busy researching possible Hotel locations
and has successfully narrowed the field down to three locations, two in North
Jersey and one in the southern region towards Philadelphia. This event will
prove to be an outstanding one, and 012 will mark the 30th anniversary of our
club as well, so it’ll be “two for one” celebration next year. More on this
as things develop.
Our annual club picnic is but a few weeks away, I hope that you are planning
to attend. Gerry Thackeray has been kind enough to act as the food coordinator,
so please contact her at 215-357-1982 and let her know what you will be bringing
along. This event is always a hit, so please bring your Family out in your Chevy.
We will have the car games, and it is always tons of fun to check out the other
cars there and associate with your fellow club members.
If you weren’t at the last meeting, you missed a real treat. There was something
you don’t see everyday that came rolling in-Jim Krous’ 1963
Sedan Delivery! What a cool ride, Jim was very excited about it and entertained
all the questions related to its creation. It was a BIG hit! Some other club
members brought their Chevy’s out which made it a good event to break the winter
blues.
