WELCOME SPRING!! Well, almost.
Hope that your rides are ready to hit the pavement; don’t put off getting
them in tip-top shape any longer. The spring flowers will be popping up soon,
be certain that your car is ready to roll and so that you may enjoy the fresh
air and the season change.
What a great time was had by all at our annual Club Banquet held at the Ramblewood
Country Club, Mt Laurel, NJ. The Dennery’s always aim to please, and they
picked an excellent place to hold this year’s event. The ambiance was prestigious;
the food was excellent, the house staff really aimed to please. Special thanks
go out to Steve Calandra for providing the musical entertainment that day
. Steve was awarded the coveted “Member of the Year” award, which was well
deserved as he has been hauling his stereo equipment around for years to support
our events. Dawn is the consummate Hostess, insuring that all the details
are attended to. I think John Dennery actually out did himself this year with
the awards he devised, most folks were laughing so hard they had tears in
their eyes! On behalf of the club, I want to thank the Dennery’s for making
this event such a great success. It was a job well done, and certainly a crowd
pleaser for all who were in attendance. Be certain to put this event on your
calendar for next year, the only regrets you’ll have is if you don’t attend.
Our annual club Junkyard trip is coming up March 16-17. This is always a fun
filled excursion with fellow members, and you may even discover some pieces
of gold for your Chevy. Please see the details elsewhere in this edition of
the Newsletter.
Convention plans are progressing very well; the Humphries and Verne Frantz
have been soliciting some solid sponsors. Mike Berry has been managing the
T shirt artwork details, while Dawn Dennery has been busy with Bus accommodations
and flyer distributions. We have a solid core group, but we still need volunteers
to make this an outstanding experience for all attendees. Why not contact
John Lucas or Mike Berry today and offer your assistance?
Please come out with your car (weather permitting) to our next schedule meeting
on March 11th, hope to see you there.
