Ex President’s Message
As I write this message I feel a little sad to know it will be my last President’s
Message. I am no longer your president. My life is going in seven different
directions and I cannot even make time for me! Where does time go? I have been
on the board for eight years now and its time to let someone else in. I would
like to thank everyone for the support you have given me. I enjoy being a part
of such a great organization. We have the best of the best when it comes to
the knowledge of the Late Great Chevrolet. However, the good news remains to
be seen! Your new President, Jim Brussel is in the drivers seat ready to cruise
into the New Year with a fresh new look. I have been so impressed with Jim as
Vice President, he is always on top of everything and on time with phone calls,
always helping with ideas. I have come to realize and have asked why hasn’t
he been on the board before? Knowing what I have learned about Jim in this past
year I am proud to call him President of The Jersey Late Greats.
We finished the year with our annual Christmas buffet after the general meeting
in December. Members made their favorite dishes as Dawn and John decorated the
tables with festive decorations, napkins and plates. We had a nice spread of
food and deserts. Its amazing how good everything tastes when it’s homemade
and put all together. Thanks to everyone who helped make it memorable.
Jim and I decided to share this message with you this month, so as I close I
would like to thank you again and assure you I will still continue to be as
active as I always have been but this time with out a “TITLE.”

New President’s
Message
Hello everyone. My name is Jim Brussel and I’ve been a member of the Jersey
Late Greats since 1995. Last year was my first year on the board as Vice President,
which I really enjoyed. I hope that I can keep pace with Maureen and other past
Presidents.
The cars I own and drive the wheels off of are a Azure Aqua ’64 Impala SS and
a Desert Beige ’64 Nova SS. I’m currently restoring a Satin Silver ’64 El Camino
and will also be upgrading the engine and transmission.
This year, we have fun activities planned, so stay tuned. Together with our
new Vice President, Jim Thackeray, we’ll be working towards increasing member
attendance at our activities, so don’t be surprised if you receive a phone call
from Jim or myself. We’re all interested in seeing other members and their rides.
So, c’mon out this year and join the fun! Keep on eye on the club calendar and
mark the dates. I hope to see everyone soon.
LATE GREATS RULE
From the President elect,
Jim Brussel
