The JLG membership voted for the 2011 Officers at the
December 12th meeting. Tom Merring is our new President. More on that
later. And, for the third year in a row, there was a tie for Vice
President between Mike Berry and Jim Brussel with Jim Thackeray coming
in 1 vote behind. Again, a coin toss determined that Mike Berry will
Be our new Vice President. Just think, if I had been able to attend
the meeting, who knows how the voting would have turned out! Dawn
Dennery, Verne Frantz and Al Bernotas will remain in their current
roles.
I’ve been on the board for four years and other priorities
dictate that I step down and let someone else have a turn. It’s Tom
Merring’s turn to drive and steer the Jersey Late Greats with his
great insight and intuition. Tom is one of the founders of our club
dating back to 1982.
We finished the year with the Christmas Buffet…………….

Welcome to 2011 and Happy New Year to all, hope it was
a GREAT Holiday Season for you and your Families! I am pleased to be
the new President of our Club. I have been a member since 1982 and have
always enjoyed our events and Club meetings. We have a lot of great
things going for us, and I would like to continue that momentum. Jim
Brussel has been an excellent leader, incorporating some innovative
ideas and implementing them in a timely fashion. One of the largest
challenges remaining is club membership participation, make this the
year that you come out and enjoy the club events with your car and the
rest of our members. You will not have any regrets as our events are
Family minded and a whole lot of fun. Our annual joint club picnic in
May is always a lot of fun, and the food is excellent. The annual Junkyard
trip always proves to be a great adventure, and you may even pick up
a few much needed parts for your car. The Club Banquet will be here
before you know it, and the Dennerys always put on an outstanding show.
Why don’t you make your plans now to come out this year and enjoy some
of the clubs events, you won’t be sorry that you did! Hope to see you
at January’s meeting on the 9th, meantime-stay warm!
Keep ‘em Rolling Tom
