PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Happy Holidays from the Jersey Late Greats. We hope this year’s Holiday Season is special for you and your Family … and your Chevy.

Well, in case you haven’t heard, the most important and significant vote in the Jersey Late Greats history occurred at the November 8th meeting. Both motions, as outlined in prior newsletters, first, to become affiliated with the National Impala Association headed by Jody Andersen and second, to expand our years of interest to 1972, had been voted on and passed. Our affiliation with the Ecklers Corp will continue for one more year, so in essence we will have a dual affiliation, while obtaining our insurance through the NIA. There’s work to be done in the coming months, i.e… web site updates, club logo modifications, revision of forms, etc.

I’m sure we all believe this, as shown by the vote, will have a truly positive affect on the membership. The NIA’s doors are always open to answer questions or too just have a chat with. Even though the NIA is a business, its family oriented, is personable and possesses a sincere interest in the preservation of the cars that some of us grew up with or have acquired over the years. They also share the same love and passion we do. You will definitely feel more like a family member than just another number on a list.

Mike Berry, the clubs Elections Officer will be holding the election for the 2010 club officers.

The Holiday Buffet will be at the next meeting at the Bordentown Community Center on December 13th. If you can bring a favorite appetizer, dish or desert, please contact Dawn Dennery. Please see the additional information in this newsletter. Hope you can make it!

Also, just as a reminder, Dawn is also coordinating the Holiday Banquet

on Saturday, February 20th at 1:00 pm at Ventura’s Restaurant. This was a great time last year. Look for your invitation in the mail after the holidays.

On a final note, I’m really looking forward to working with the NIA staff to make it even a better club for the membership to enjoy in the years to come.
