President’s Message

The November club meeting was held at the Bordentown Community Center on Veteran’s Day and we recognized our two vets, Tom Merring (Army) and Verne Frantz (Navy). There was a good turnout for the Pizza and Video Night and those in attendance was treated to some nostalgic and sometimes amusing video going back years. Why some of us even had dark hair in those films. Thank you Leigh Humphreys and Steve Calandra for the memories.

Jim Thackeray filled in for John Lucas as the Election Chairman and we now have the final ballot for the 2019 elections. They are as follows.

I would like to thank Maureen Humphreys for taking on the job as Secretary as she has been doing in an unofficial capacity for the last few   meetings. Verne Frantz has been working on an Indoor Swap Meet to be held this coming March if everything goes as planned. 

   One of our newer members, Don Pitched from Eatontown, NJ, passed away on November 15.    Longtime member Lou DiPietro’s father passed away on November 20th. Jim Krous, Mike Berry, Jim Brussel and friends Ronnie and Nancy Brodeur drove to Daytona Beach for the Turkey Rod Run leaving November 21 and returning on the 25th. ( photo’s page 3)

I am looking forward to our upcoming meeting on Sunday, December 9 at 5 PM. We will be having elections for the 2019 Board and best of all, the Christmas Party. There will be food and a gift exchange. Everyone planning to attend should contact Maureen Humphreys at or Karen Thackeray to see what’s needed for as covered dish and if you would like to participate in the gift exchange, bring a gift valued at about $10.
