April 2017
President’s Message
Last week spring arrived but you wouldn’t know it by the weather
we had. Maybe April will bring better cruising weather. As you get that classic
Chevy unwrapped from its winter hibernation, check to see if you have any dings
or rust the storage has brought. Whether you do or don’t, why not join other
club members for a seminar on body/rust repair and painting at Eastwood in Pottstown,
PA on April 8th at 10:30 AM? The seminar will be approximately 3 hours with
one of their top instructors. They will also be covering contour sanding and
any other areas of interest. Of course, we will have an opportunity to visit
their retail store for some spring shopping! Bring a friend. They don’t have
to be a JLG member.
Your Board of Directors and Mike Berry (Events Coordinator)
have put together a calendar of events that will be of interest to all. From
our annual picnic, to a visit to a museum, as well as car shows, you will really
enjoy yourself. Our annual picnic will be May 6th at Mercer County Park (details
in newsletter). Bring a friend and/or potential member for a great day. The
Frantz’s and Dennery’s are planning a great day for all. We will get you the
complete list of events for the year shortly. We are still looking for new members.
We have a new membership brochure and Dawn Dennery is preparing signs for our
cars to display at shows to promote the Jersey Late Great Club.
It’s your club, so let us know if you have any suggestions or
criticisms as they help us build a stronger club.
I look forward to seeing you on April 8th at Eastwood and at
the annual picnic on May 8th.
They say that “April showers bring May flowers”. Personally,
I think we have had enough precipitation for a while, so get those Chevy’s ready
for cruising as the great weather is on its way.
Enjoy the ride in your Chevrolet!
Frank
